Domerid Relief Tablets relieve the symptoms of nausea and vomiting. The tablets contain Domperidone, which works by helping the stomach to move food contents through the digestive system normally and in the right direction, so that the food contents don’t stay too long in one place.
Domperidone is used exclusively for the short-term relief of nausea and vomiting in adults and adolescents.
Dosage:
- Adults and children over 12 years (weighing 35 kg or more): Take one tablet up to three times per day.
- Take the tablet 15 to 30 minutes before meals, and if necessary, before going to bed. Swallow the tablet whole with a drink of water.
- Maximum Dose: Do not take more than three tablets (30mg) in any 24-hour period.
This medicine must only be used for the shortest possible duration. Do not take Domerid Relief for longer than 7 consecutive days. If your symptoms persist or worsen, you must consult your GP.
Cardiac Warning:
Domperidone is associated with an increased risk of heart rhythm disorders (QT prolongation) and cardiac arrhythmias. Do not take Domerid Relief if you have an underlying heart condition, such as heart failure, you have a history of irregular heartbeats or electrolyte imbalances (such as low potassium or magnesium levels), or if you have a known liver impairment.
Always check with our pharmacist or your GP if you are taking concurrent medications.
